How to post Twitch clips to Instagram Reels

Hypecut turns the moments your Twitch chat reacts to into 9:16 videos with a hook on screen, and posts the ones you approve to Instagram Reels with the caption and hashtags it wrote. It can post the same video to a Facebook Page you manage.

Posting to Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels from Hypecut is coming soon. Until then, save each video from Clips and post it yourself.

Start free

Use it in your browser or on iPhone. 20 free videos, no card. Plans from $19.99 a month.

Set up Hypecut

  1. Sign up at hypecut.stream, or in Hypecut’s iPhone app from the App Store.
  2. Connect your Twitch account. Hypecut makes clips with your own account, so clips need to be allowed on your channel.
  3. Add your channel. There’s nothing to install on your PC and nothing to add to OBS.
  4. Go live. Hypecut starts listening to your chat as soon as you do.

Post a clip to Reels

  1. Connect Instagram once in Settings → Connections. Instagram needs a creator or business account for this.
  2. Open a video in To review and approve it.
  3. Choose Post, then Instagram Reels (or Facebook, for a Page you manage).

Doing it by hand

By hand, you download the clip, crop it to 9:16 in an editor, add text, export it, move it to your phone and post it from the Instagram app with a caption.

Questions

Can I post to a personal Instagram account?

Instagram only lets apps post to creator and business accounts. Switching is free in Instagram’s settings.

Does Hypecut post for me?

Only the videos you approve, unless you turn on auto-post for a channel. Every video waits in To review, and you pick where each one goes.

Your next clip is already in chat.

Add your channel before your next stream and let chat pick the moments.
