Set up Hypecut
- Sign up at hypecut.stream, or in Hypecut’s iPhone app from the App Store.
- Connect your Twitch account. Hypecut makes clips with your own account, so clips need to be allowed on your channel.
- Add your channel. There’s nothing to install on your PC and nothing to add to OBS.
- Go live. Hypecut starts listening to your chat as soon as you do.
Send a clip to TikTok
- Connect TikTok once in Settings → Connections.
- Open a video in To review and approve it.
- Choose Post, then TikTok drafts. Hypecut uploads the video to your drafts.
- Open TikTok, find the video in your drafts, add the description and hashtags Hypecut wrote (and a sound if you like), and post it.
Why drafts
TikTok has apps like Hypecut send videos to your drafts, and you publish them from the TikTok app, so nothing goes public without you. TikTok allows at most 5 pending drafts per account in any 24 hours, so post or delete drafts as you go.
Doing it by hand
By hand, you download the Twitch clip, open it in an editor such as CapCut, crop the gameplay and facecam into a 9:16 frame, add a title and captions, export it and upload it to TikTok. It often takes 10 to 20 minutes a clip.
What makes a Twitch clip work on TikTok
- The build-up. A clip that starts on the reaction loses people who don’t know why it’s funny. Hypecut keeps the seconds before chat reacted.
- A hook in the first second. Hypecut writes one on screen and lets you change the words and the key word.
- Your face. Stacked framing keeps the facecam visible above the gameplay.
